1.Application Developer (Full-Stack)

2.Big Data Engineer
ThoughtWorks India is looking for talented engineers passionate about building large-scale data processing systems to help manage the ever-growing information needs of our clients.
You will be responsible for -
- Building complex data processing pipelines, as part of diverse, high energy teams
- Designing scalable implementations of the models developed by our Data Scientists
- Hands-on programming based on TDD, usually in a pair programming environment
- Deploying data pipelines in production based on Continuous Delivery practices
- Advising clients on the usage of different distributed storage and computing technologies from the plethora of options available in the ecosystem
- Minimum of 4 to 8 years of overall industry experience
- At least 3+ years of experience building and deploying large scale data processing pipelines in a production environment
- Production-level hands-on experience working with HDFS, Java MapReduce, Hive, Apache Spark, Oozie etc. are a must
- Hands-on experience in coding with Java / Scala / Python
- Good understanding of streaming technologies like Kafka, Spark Streaming.
- Solid understanding of YARN, Mesos, MPP Databases, SQL-on-Hadoop solutions like Impala etc.
- Understanding of security mechanisms for Big Data clusters like Kerberos; is nice to have.

3.Data Scientist
ThoughtWorks India is looking for talented Data scientists passionate about building large scale data processing systems to help manage the ever-growing information needs of our clients.
Education
· PhD/MS or Masters in Applied mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science or operations research background is a MUST.
· 8 to 10 years of experience in a relevant role.
Skills
· Passion for understanding business problems and trying to address them by leveraging data - characterized by high-volume, high dimensionality from multiple sources
· Ability to communicate complex models and analysis in a clear and precise manner
· Experience with building predictive statistical, behavioral or other models via supervised and unsupervised machine learning, statistical analysis, and other predictive modeling techniques.
· Experience using R, SAS, Matlab or equivalent statistical/data analysis tools. Ability to transfer that knowledge to different tools
· Experience with matrices, distributions and probability
· Familiarity with at least one scripting language - Python/Ruby
· Proficiency with relational databases and SQL
· Natural language processing experience is a plus
· Experience with Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive etc. is a plus
· Experience with NoSQL stores is a plus
Responsibilities
· Has worked in a big data environment before alongside a big data engineering team (and data visualization team, data and business analysts)
· Translate client's business requirements into a set of analytical models
· Perform data analysis (with a representative sample data slice) and build/prototype the model(s)
· Work with the client's business users and/or data scientists to define and close on the model design
· Provide inputs to the data ingestion/engineering team on input data required by the model, size, format, associations, cleansing required
· Identify/Provide approach and data to validate the model(s)
· Collaborate with a technology/data engineering team to transfer the business understanding, get the model productionized and validate the output along with business users
· Tune the model(s) to improve results provided over time
· Understand business challenges and goals of a client to formulate the approach for data analysis and model creation that will support their business decision making
· Do hands-on data analysis and model creation and proactively mentor other team members
· Work in highly collaborative teams that strive to build quality systems and provide business value

4.Retail Practitioner(SME)
We are looking for Retail experts with deep domain expertise and ability to engage with CXOs on business & technology challenges and solutions.
As a Retail Domain Consultant, you need to :
- Have 14+ years of deep business process understanding and operational experience in Retail, E-Commerce across core retail functional areas like Order Management, Forecasting, Merchandising & Assortment Planning, Pricing, Promotions, Mark-down management, Store Replenishment, Supply Chain etc
- Be able to consult senior stakeholders, of retail and product organizations building retail products, on building the vision for the roadmap, by striking the right balance between what’s needed now and the future.
- Be a subject matter expert and manage client end-to-end client engagements through solutioning for the current and future functional roadmaps, recommendations during development and Execution through adoption facilitation, workshops, training, etc.
- Have good exposure to working with varied retailers globally and in India (experience in groceries is a must)
- Have exposure to working in retail analytics.
- Have implemented innovative end-to-end solutions in customer engagement and customer experience
- Have the desire to create and build custom solutions in the retail domain
